Welcome to Keep Athens Beautiful

Who Keeps Athens Beautiful? You do… I do… We all do…

Keep Athens Beautiful and The East Texas Arboretum will host an ECO Camp for children Kindergarten through 4th Grade. The camp will run July 27-31, Monday through Friday.

ECO Camp is designed for children to participate in activities relating to the environment through arts and crafts, science, music/storytelling, and games. Each day will have a theme centered around littering, recycling, water conservation, trees and more. The activities will include hiking, making a garbage pizza, learning about oil and water and more. Each day we will have a short lesson about the day’s theme, read a great story, learn some funny songs to sing and enjoy the out of doors.

The camp will be held at the East Texas Arboretum 1601 Patterson Road each day. The day starts at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. A morning and afternoon snack will be provided. Campers will need to bring a sack lunch each day.
